Warning – risk of fire with emollients
The Medicines and Healthcare Products regulatory agency (MHRA) has extended its warning about the fire risk with emollients to all paraffin-based emollients. People who use these products should not smoke or go near naked flames as clothing, bedding, dressings and other fabric may have residue of emollient on them which could easily ignite.
